Auto Shipper Bill Of Lading

So what is an auto shipper bill of lading? Its a contract that establishes the terms between the auto shipper and the consumer that's transporting there auto. It totals the price for the goods that's being moved. In plain English. A bill of lading is like a contract between you and the auto shipper company. Every reputable auto shipper company will represent you and give you a bill of lading before transporting your automobile. Make sure before you place your auto shipper reservation. You'll want to see a copy of the terms and conditions before you go ahead with placing your order. Its a good idea to get a copy of the auto shipper terms & conditions. You can find this on the back page of the bill of lading. This is usually refereed to as the "fine print".

Also prior to you car being loaded on to the truck. The driver of the truck will fill out an auto shipper report. With you present or an authorized rep. for you. Everything will need to be verified and signed ahead of time. Before your sedan departs its origin point. Make sure the driver gives you a copy of the report. When your vehicle is transported you'll be handed with the same report. At this time any claims of damage will be based on the condition of your automobile compared to whats on the bill of lading.

The chances that your auto will be delivered in the exact condition it was when it was first picked up from the auto shipper. However if your car was delivered with any damaged by shipping. Write it down in full description on the bill of lading and before you accept your car back be sure to have the driver sign it.
